In the wake of Ricky Williams' sudden retirement, Chiefs running back Priest Holmes revealed that he too was unsure if he had the motivation to return for another bruising NFL season. Holmes even met with head coach Dick Vermeil three months after his record-setting season to discuss his uncertainty. "I handled it like I would my own son," Vermeil told the Kansas City Star. "Listened to him. Understood. I think I know Priest pretty well. He's a complex young man. He's a deep thinker. At times, you get a little high or low."
Views: Wow. If we'd have lost the consensus No. 1 player in fantasy football, that would have made for some interesting headlines. While we're not too happy to hear about the 30-year-old's apparent lack of desire, we don't doubt his ability to put up huge numbers this season
