So do me a favor. Instead jumping into a debate and assuming on my part TB let this out, ask howyorself this- how did gen get the info? For the record, i live 10 mins from Alameda, and i went to SD and have talked to a number of beat writers, dj's, and people who work for the Raiders about this situation. I got the same exact story everytime.

I have come to the attention that the Terry Kirby rumor is still around. I guess some people just like gossip. Which is exactly what that rumor was.
I know this, because I am Barret's wife, and know first hand that isn't true! I love Barret with all my heart and soul, and was terrified that he wouldn't come back to me alive. He wasn't diagnosed Bi-Polar prior to the events of the Super Bowl! I had no idea where he was, or what had happened to him. I was at another hotel with ALL the other family members with our two little daughters. I would like to get rid of this rumor that has tarnished my good name.
Maybe ya'll should do something constructive, like look up Bi-Polar disorder on the internet that you choose to spread nasty rumors, and check out the devastating illness that Barret has lived and played football with, undiagnosed for his entire life. Maybe ya'll will find a new appreciation for the man and be a little kinder if you get educated!

If you are in fact Barret's wife I am repeating what I was told by a person within the orginization. It was not meant to offend anyone and I apolgize if it is not true. I will be a Barret Robbins fan until the day I die. There have only been 3 great centers in raider history and your husband is one. God bless you both.

Strong words indeed. I've had experiences with bi-polar affected individuals. I've heard the Kirby rumor before and don't know what to think, but I'll take you for your word, the fact that you actually took the time to post makes me put my faith in you. As for your husband he was easily the best center in the league at the time, and one of the greatest in raider history, and as we know that's saying a lot. I wish you and your family the best, and may your husband's knees improve, so that if he wishes he can play football once more.
