Breaking News: Marshall Faulk May Retire!
SUP RAIDERNATION!
This is not Raider related but not many people even glance at the Rumour+NFL forums so here goes: I found this on a 'breaking news/daily info' site: AP reports John Hadley of KTRS 550 AM announced today that he has "two sources" inside the Ram organization that "can't guarentee that RB Marshall Faulk will play in 2004". Hadley says Faulk's knee is a problem that isn't going away, and the Rams drafted RB Steve Jackson in the case Faulk retires. Hadley also said that his boss, KTRS sports director Jim Holder, "was on the phone all afternoon" and essentially confirmed that members of the Rams are saying that Faulk may, in fact, retire this summer during summer camp IF the knee continues to bother him. I suppose I can link this to the Raiders by saying that this will mean an easier preseason match against them in August! Good for him to go out while still on top...But I can't help thinking he's still got a few good years left! Damn curse of the Madden front cover!

I was very surprised when they took Jackson, it was a good value pick for them but not a real area of need. Now it seems like a pretty smart pick for them. Playing on turf all those years couldn't have helped him too much (Indy and then St. Louis)

Yeh...Ray Lewis isn't known for avoiding injuries-so the Madden curse is more than likely to effect him!
I need to have a word with EA Sports-try to get them to put Priest, Tomlinson, Trev Pryce, Al Wilson and Champ Bailey all on the front cover next year!
