Collins Connects With Raiders
Greetings Nation,

Good morning from Wiesbaden Germany. Former Giants quarterback Kerry Collins is headed cross-country, from one 4-12 team to another. One month after Eli Manning turned Collins into the Giants' quarterback of the past, Collins becomes the centerpiece of the Raiders' attempted revival.
He has decided to accept Oakland's offer, a three-year deal, sources told the Daily News yesterday. The agreement should be finalized this week and is expected to lead to Oakland releasing Rich Gannon, the 2002 NFL MVP. Collins picked the Raiders over a backup job with the Ravens, where former Giants coach Jim Fassel is now a consultant.

so much speculation on this, i think every paper says something differant, espn has collins talking to greenbay - i wish willis would enlighten us

back when I first joined I stated how I thought that Gannon should be cut and Collins should be brought in.....looks like a bright future for the Raiders

The local tv stations here in Baltimore are saying that Collins will be a Raider. This week! Contract is for 3 years, 4 million.

He came to a winner also. This year Oakland will not be a 4 win team, much better.

Keri's good enough to get us to the playoffs, has experience. The playmakers Al Davis and Mike Lombardi added can be the edge in a playoff run to get us to the next level!

His deal saves us cap and has him set as our signalcaller to bring Tuis along at a precise pace.

I love the situation we have at QB, however the RBs still scare the bejeezus out of me. I like Fargas, and still have loyalty to Wheatley bc of what he's done. however hambrick and amos worry me. Just the thought of having two retreads that arent anywhere close to being 1300 yd rushers is kinda frightening in a "power run" offense. I look at the upcoming season and just hope that we can mirror the Ravens of '00, kick ass defense, and an offense that just gets us by.
