I think we will have to hear some news about Gannon before anything happens with collins (if it does of course).

I was watching the Mike and Mike show on ESPnews this morning and John Clayton was reporting that Collins would be the number 3 QB in Oakland this next season. He basically said that Collins shot himself in the foot by not re-structuring with the Giants. He went on to say that there are no starting jobs available right now and that he thought Collins would be forced into signing with the Raiders.

That would be cool if it's true but consider the source. I'm all for bringing in Veteran QB's to compete and add depth, but to say he'd be the #3.....Now they are making our depth chart even after Norv has said no one is to be considered a starter and they would all be competing.

I will admit, Kerry's good, but I don't want him. I think Gannon is better - we need a General on the field on offense. We have to many ego's and Gannon can keep them in check, I don't know about Collins in there. But, if they pick him up and Gannon goes - he's a Raider and I will support him until he leaves, which I have done with all Raiders, except for Shaw!

Gannon may be better, but he's also likely done after this season. Collins would give us adequate insurance for the future, along with Tui.

This..Billy Callahan was why NOT Gannon....Sure he is old, and sure he will not be back next year, but Collins will give us a 3-13 season...which we do not need, nor can afford!!!
