Kerry Collins

The New York Daily News reports that quarterback Kerry Collins is interested in playing for either the Bears or Raiders. New Raiders coach Norv Turner is in the process of determining if Rich Gannon will start. If he doesn't, the likelihood of Collins signing with the Raiders is strong.

strap is on a distinguished road
I like colllins alot but i don't know if Gannon's washed up or not! I say we sign collins and have them compete and then after june trade or release on of them. One good thing about collins is he alot younger, could be our qb for the next five years where gannon might have two at the most!!

Collins should be welcome, perhaps he's a cap no-go at this point.

I just read that Lovie Smith has absolutely declared that Rex Grossman is his starter. The Niners,Dallas,Chicago,Arizona,Green Bay,KC,all have expressed no interest in him for various reasons. The Ravens will work it out with Kyle Boller.Pittsburgh is talking about possibly cutting Tommy Maddox & getting a vet but Collins wont go there just to mentor Roethlisburger.Collins is looking at us.We need to pull an old Bruce Allen special deferring his big $ strategically.Sign him and keep Gannon. My opinion, there is a good chance that Gannon will get taken out a couple games this year from a hit, wear and tear,or just good old shoulder pain. These things have a tendency to happen at critical junctures late in the season when you have to win. When this happens, give me Collins over Tui.I like Tui and believe he has potential.Collins could capitalize on his experience in our offensive scheme. This is an opportunity we should seize if we can swing it financially. He wants to start somewhere this year.It doesn't look like that is gonna happen anywhere because the Niners,Cowboys,Bears,Cards, all have their heads up their ass.He is better than all of their QB's.I am not a Collins fan but I have a strong feeling that he could be our future for the next few years. We should get him.
