It might happen. Our o-line now as it is will run every defense over in the NFL [ its the best in the NFL]. So getting Allan is just adding another tank in the trenches.
LT - Gallary LG - Sims C - Robbins RG - Stone RT - Walker LT-Gallary LG-Allan C-Robbins/Grove RG-Stone RT-Walker I like either of them just make sure though we don't give to much up for Allan and i am willing to get him. |

I'd keep switching our lineman in and out so they would be fresh, just in case we make a playoff run late in the year.

allen would be an excellent pick up.
his play really declined last year, but if he wants to play here, is motivated and willing to take less money i wouldnt mind having him. he wont be an every snap guard, but he definatly could play 4-5 in a row then be switched out. just having him to help teach gallery and grove would be worth it. i think he would be inspired playing for norv again and would function well playing smashmouth. the cowboys have had some really ****ty rbs the last few years that havent done much. that with the rookie/young qb situation has made it harder for the line there. i bet even if hes not traded now, he will holdout to be traded to the raiders. We need someone who is big the trainer spends more time repairing the bench when they sit on it than he does on his regular job. We need someone whose best plays were to grab people and fall down and get no call out of respect for his previous accomplishments. We're overstocked there, he can wish in one hande and **** in the other. Sims took pay cuts and would probably thrive at gurad or on the irght side, Wlaker is a natural RT his first start there was so good Linc came back early ahead of schedule to preserve his spot as starter.
Not to diss Linc, he loves the game and the fans and the Raiders Organization, but if Walker was playing at a level that Linc felt pressure from then it's clear he needs a serious look at the start spot. Our two starters fromt there last year get first dibs, Linc was outplaying Allen last year and he wanted one more year back to leave the sport on his terms. Norv bringing him in would equal playing favorites, we had enough of that with Gruden.

what are you talking about. larry allen and kennedy play totally different positions. allen is a GUARD and plays the left side of the center. kennedy is a right tackle and plays the farthest right.
kennedy has said he would retire, but it has nothing do with larry allen or norv bringing him back. the whole larry allen trade rumor didnt even start until early april. if lincoln comes back or if he officaly retires will be based on how he fills. if we get larry allen i think it may actually make lincoln want to come and play 1 more season. |
