What?

I got this from espnews. A NY paper is saying that Kerry Collins will be released by the Giants. If this is true, the Giants are NUTS and i don't blame Collins.

Giants arent nuts. Collins is an average QB and the Giants cant win with him. Might as well let him go and let Eli take his lumps as a rookie. I predict the Chargers will have TWO top 10 picks in the first round next year because I dont see either NYG, or SD being very good.

Collins is a dam good QB. Give him time and he will pick any defense apart. IMO, I wouldn't mind taking a chance on him..

I would take a chance as well.

He beat his demons and a "raider reclaimation" might be in order.

Kollins is not that bad good enough to help them get to the Superbowl a few years back. Now getting him for the Raiders is a other story.

I would not want to start the season with three rook QB's.

Lets remember Collins got Carolina to the NFC Championship and NYGiants to the Super Bowl.....not a terrible QB at all. Last time I looked thats equal to what Gannon has fone but he is much younger.....Id take him over K.Warner!!!! I think he'z worth a lookc!

I agree Collins is that bad of a QB and has an arm. I think he could work out with us and he has had more success in his younger years then Gannon had. This is true though I seen it on NFL network. Rich Eisen interviewed the GM for the Giants and he had a talk with Collins who doesn't want to restructure his contract. I say give him a chance the worst that can happen is he gets cut. We want to go into the season with the best QB possible. As far as Eli most QBs who were projected great didn't have that great of a rookie year. Peyton only won like 3 games. So don't expect Eli to do much better. Especially in that division. This would really be a kick in the pants if Collins comes here has a good year and both the Dolts and the Giants have a terrible season. This would mean we got the lineman we needed and the QB.

Collins would be a good fit this year and drop Gannon or make Gannon restructure and take a back up role so he can get a SuperBowl ring.

Collins wants to go where he cans tart, if he wanted to play backup he's sign with the panthers where he played so there's no dropoff after Delhomme. It would be a good way to retire.

But Collins has vet fire to prove self, and the Giants treatment was not good in this past half year. Al Davis loves people with competetive fire and something to prove, sounds like a match to this fan.
