New coach?

So I was watching NFL network and they were saying something about Bill Cower. I really did not catch what they said but lets just say Kiffin did get fired, not that I want him to because personally I think Kiffin is a good coach but lets just say he did get fired what would you think about Bill Cower stepping in if he was to come back?

IMO I would love to have Bill come in if Lane got fired but I sure hope he doesn't

Bill has said if he coaches again it'd prolly be for Carolina, being he lives in Raliegh area if I recall, so he'd still be close to his family.

Taking the year off and then resurrecting another franchise only IF he gets complete control of the team to start the rebuilding. It's one of the main reasons he left Green Bay.

Obviously that will never happen with Big Al in charge.

There will be no Tuna, Chin or Holmgren style revitalizations for the Black and Silver in my opinion. They are all too established to come to a budgeted team about to enter cap hell showing very little signs of contention in their own division.

Holmgren is hoping for a GM spot somewhere after next season. As for Cower there's not a snowballs chance in hell he'd come to Oak. He and Al would butt heads constantly. Al would never allow a coach to come in and try to tell him how to run the team.

The only way this team will return to glory is when Al Davis kicks the bucket. How many years have we been saying, "next year" now? There is a serious lack of leadership, accountability and discipline on this team. There hasn't been a single player since Rich Gannon and Tim Brown that actually gave a damn about the team and tried to take control on the field. After Monday night's blowout, there wasn't any accountability what so ever. Instead it was full of excuses and reasons why it was "only the first game of the season" and not to pass judgement so quickly. I think this game is a huge indication of how far gone this team is. Until Al Davis is gone and we can actually get a coach that is allowed to make his own decisions with out pressure from the owner, this team will remain in it's current state of disarray. Which makes me sick because I'm am tired of having hope for "next season" only to be continuosly let down every single time.

the only way cower would come here is if he tells davis that he is going to run things his way and only his way! but offcourse Al wont stand for that.

Cowher would want the gross nation product of Venezuela to become the Raider's Head Coach under Al Davis.

Cowher would want control and you know how that will turn out. If his buddy Dennis Green would not come here and went to Arizona that says volumes.
