nemesys...
i concur with you on many things. and our differences aside. on the kiffin thing....i know that madden and others close to al had urged and advised al to not fire kiffin last season, to perservere, for the good of the franchise, just like you said, that it cant keep absorbing these coaching turnovers, that stability is needed regardless if it's underperforming, just to right the ship a bit in choppy seas. it's why imo whilever kiffin looks like he's a goner, i also have a feeling he will ride out his 2+ years here despite all the rumors and news. now that i say that next week kiffin will get fired. but i do have a strong gut feeling that kiffin will see out his tenure due to the word of madden and others. but if kiffin should go, i still wont despair because there's always new hope in a new coach. rathman, for instance, i could go fight a war with him. |

_gg_,
I'll admit it doesn't look good for Kiffin right now, but regardless of whether you like him or not, he's probably the best option coaching-wise the Raiders have right now. Even if Al did fire Kiffin, who's to say that Rathman would even be offered the job or even accept it at that? If he would happen to turn it down, then what? Lofton? Who knows? At least it seems Al has put some serious thought into this situation already. I just hope The Raiders win on Sunday because if they don't, I have a feeling it will get REAL ugly.

the raiders better win because we have a better team on paper, it just needs to gel and communicate better, and play/coach smarter, and it should be a wildcard team imo. no reason for it to not be if they ALL worked together as a team. which ultimately is all we all want---just get over all the BS already and find a way to win regardless.

Honestly, I love the Raiders, but if I were an NFL coach with any kind of a choice I would not coach in Oakland.

cower doesnt put up with sh((
if he did come here, he would probably turn the team around. not that lane kifiin hasnt tried, but al davis needs someone he can trust to take over the team for the next decade until he goes. cower has the dedication and credentails to go with the game .........don t see it happening |
