new-old rumors
got this from another board, thought i'd share.
Mark this down and remeber you heard this here first. This is from a "top" source. Ok, here we go. Knowing that San Diego will not pick OT Robert Gallery the Cleveland Browns will trade up 5 spots to the number 2 spot and select the coveted OT. In return the Raiders will recieve the seventh overall pick along with Cleveland's 2005 first round pick and RB William Green. This deal is all but done but will not be made official until San Diego selects QB Eli Manning(this is the guy they want, not Rivers). This deal came about due to the Raiders being cap strapped and unable to deal for RB Corey Dillion. Cleveland fills a major need and feels they found their running back of the future in Lee Suggs. Here's one for the Willis non-believers Len Pasqurelli reported that the Raiders and Bengals had no discussions regarding Corey Dillon at the owners meetings and the two sides are apparently further apart then many people think. Al Davis was quoted as saying "I know Cincinnati would be dying to hear what I have to say." Pasqurelli cited a Raiders coach as a source, who basically said they are going to wait for him to be released after June 1. It seems the Raiders were willing to part with a 3rd or 4th rounder to ensure they get him, but apparently have changed direction. Perhaps, Denver signing Hearst shrunk the market for Dillon. |

I would rather do that trade but with Couch instead of Green but it looks like he is going to the Fudge Packers, who would we take with that number 7? Roy WIlliams could possibly still be there so I think Al would do that.

Wow, I'd take this trade in a heartbeat.
Break it down...Our #2 pick this year for the #7 pick this year, a probable top 15 pick next year, and a decent running back with a lot of potential, although he he has major of the field problems and character issues (not that that ever stopped the Raiders from taking a player). With the #7 pick, we could problably snag Roy Williams. William Green, Roy Williams and a top 15 pick next year for the #2 pick this year? I practically jizzing my pants just thinking about it. |

If all can rape team for picks and stay in the top ten I say go for it.

If that is true, DO IT. William Green would just be another player in the history of the Raiders who came because he had "off field problems" with other teams. And a second 1st rounder next year would be great, too. Man im so excited for the upcoming draft
