not buying. Gallery is a very good guard for us. There's no reason to trade him. And sorry to disagree BW but let's see what Huff does this year as a FS before talking about trading him. I suspect he can have a pretty big year this coming season.

No way Gallery gets traded now.He has all his bonus $$ and is finally loking like he will be a decent guard.Its not like we are not thin on the line as it is.I think he is here for the long haul.He will never live up to his draft spot but i think he will be good at guard with another year under cable

I don't understand why we would trade him at this point when he's finally succeeding at LG, I mean if we were going to trade him we should have done it after 06. In his second year in Cable's system, expect him to get him even better and hopefully not commit some of those stupid penalties. McQuistan is good for depth and maybe he'll take the starting job at RG if we don't resign Carlisle next offseason.

For Huff and Gallery, it's just too late to not see what they can do in 08. Like RiNY said, he's back at his natural position and he has a SB vet there to implement some swagger. I thought Gallery settled into in Guard position nicely last year. Who would we trade him for, anyway? Getting him to regegotiate is an option I could live with however..

I think the cap hit for Gallery would be prohibitive to start with. Second I think Gallery did a pretty good job at LG last year and I think he will continue to improve. I don't think there are any better options available at this time and it is not like we are loaded with talent at any of the O Line positions aside from RG.
