Kirk Morrison says Bush is the next Jacobs

This is actually NOT a rumor, I heard it on the SIRIUS NFL channel. If you have SIRIUS I would tune in, I think it's 124. I haven't changed the channel because it's 24/7 draft talk. The show featured Kirk as their guest (first-time caller) call for the hour, and he gave them a little insight on the Raiders RB situation.

If you haven't heard Kirk Morrison do interviews, he's pretty good. In a nutshell, Captain Kirk called our Micheal Bush the next Brandon Jacobs! If this is true, I think he deserves a chance at seeing serious playing time next season. Personally, I'm a huge Jacobs guy because he's the type of back that doesn't come along very often. The guy's 260 (in his thighs) and is A MAN. Similarly, they both share injury problems. But when healthy, Jacobs is a sure-fire 20/100 bruising RB. If I want any of the Giants players, I'd want Jacobs. And if we have him in Bush, then I see no reason to draft a RB this season.

PLEASE keep this thread about BUSH, not some RB from Arkansas. Anything but that. If you want to make bush jokes? Go ahead! Love hearing those. Just don't make this about the other guy!

They have running backs in Arkansas?!?

Bush is going to wow the NFL this year. That's my story and I'm stickin' to it.

You know, sure - he's coming off an injury, but he's not the only person who's sustained an injury, and I'm pretty sure he hasn't forgotten how to run. The guy is tough.

Fargas too has injuries. But he comes back.

I'm hoping with the two of these guys, and Dom, pounding the rock, we'll be able to lessen the load on any one individual and get through the season relatively injury free. And if we do lose one guy to injury, we still have a couple people to carry the load without any drop-off. Specifically for this reason, I like having three quality backs rather than one.

Nice Post.
There is no doubt in my mind that Bush is going to shock some teams at the start of the season. I Hope they use him like the Chargers used Turner. Heavy doses of Fargas and Rhodes, then let Bush run all over the dead bodies in the second half.

This might be a good year to start making some bets on our Raiders again. You know the Chiefs, Broncos, and Charger fans will be throwing money at us.

Last year no one respected our passing game. Everyone knew we were going to run, and we STILL ended up 6th overall in rushing. With Jamarcus at QB, teams absolutely can not ignore the passing threat and just key in on the run. This is a good thing. Michael Bush is a huge upgrade over Lamont, and is completely fired up from what I'm hearing. Our run game is going turn some heads this year.

I dont see Bush as a Jacobs type player I would say more like Jamal Lewis but a little bigger with better hands and an arm.

From reports from people who know Michael and see him regularly he has lost some weight and is around 230-235lb range.

He is a punishing runner with quick feet. He is not a bruner like DMAC, but he will make his own holes and blow-up some tacklers. He will be excitng to watch. DMAC would be nice and a good compliment to Bush, but we already have Fargas and have a lot of money invested in our RB's.

I would not be surprised to see Bush the starter next year. Maybe not in week one, but I tell yo if Fargas gets hurt, Bush will not let go of the starting job.
