Asomugha asked to be traded !!! - Oakland Raiders Forum | Message Board

Yea, I put this in the rumor mill since its just word of mouth and I have no link to it.

I just heard from my cousin who goes to Cal and everybody knows Asomugha went there and he knows people who actually know Nnamdi in which I didn't know this cause we haven't talked in awhile but he said he got this info from people who know Joe and I said"Who the hell is Joe" ? But he said "Adimchinobi Nnamdi's cuz" and I remembered but he said he knows why Al Davis traded for Hall and its because Nnamdi's agent called Al Davis and asked him to not place the Tag on him cause Asomugha didn't want to be here anymore cause for one the losing and second the Al Davis/Kiffin situation got to Asomugha and he just got fed up with the BS and wanted out of here and when they placed the Tag on him he got completely pissed and Adimchinobi suppose of said Nnamdi had his agent ask the Raiders to either trade him or just take the Tag off him.

So yeah Asomugha wants out of here. Kind of reminds me of what Carr was talking about wanting to leave here.

I can't say that I blame Asomugha, I believe my cuz and all but its a situation that you don't want to believe but he said believe me on this so it is what it is people Asomugha wants to be traded and Hall suppose to take his place and Asomugha suppose to be traded soon I guess.

More rumors...

I do not see us trading Aso He is a raider this year and we fit him in our cap space. Once we take care of our FA needs we will look at a long-term deal with him. The pontential of an Aso and Hall pair is just too much to let go of. Al likes his corners and we now have one of if not the best pairs in the league.

If a trade will happen, it will happen as part of the draft. However realisticaly speaking it will be Washington traded. If it does happen there is no way that we let Aso go any time soon. Ultimately I am more concerned about losing Burgess in the future. He is more likely let go in the future than Aso.

I can't blame Aso for wanting out. Unless he gets a fat long term offer from the front office that mirrors or exceeds Hall's deal. If we finally have solidarity at the coaching spot (Kiffin and Al burried the hatchet) and our team puts together a winning season, all will change. Winning heals all, and Nhamdi will be happy again. Nevertheless we need to lock him up long term and do away with the franchise tag approach. Hell, it would be less of a cap hit anyway...

From all Reports Aso was fine with the Franchise Tag. Sorry bro just don't see this happening. They would not Franchise Aso just to trade him. I know someone paying me 10Million a year would truly piss me off.

I agree, I could see Aso wanting to be traded. He has been here for a few years and is our top CB yet Al trades for Hall and gives him a new contract but puts the tag on Aso. Al also paid Kelly and left Burgess hanging. Does this make sense? Hell naw but its the Raider way.
