There are a lot of reason why that trade wouldn't work.

We don't trade with Tamp Bay

Tampa Bay didn't draft Gaines Adams so they could trade him the next season

Nnamdi is too important to the team

Burgess is too important to the team

we don't need a RB so we don't have to draft McFadden we can go ahead and draft Gholston

It would create a giant hole at CB

Burgess is under contract for two years

We don't need to pay #4 and #20 in the draft

It doesn't make any sense other than those players have value

Wouldn't that be acceptable? Then we wouldn't draft McFadden, so then we could draft Gholston. After that we can use the Bucs first round pick to get Malcolm Kelly/Calais Campbell?

What do you guys think?

The players don't equate but I "think" what the poster is saying is we have 2 players (Aso and Burgess) that
are not under contract after this season, they have trade value and we don't know if those 2 players WANT to stay in Oakland or if the Raiders are commited to keeping them long term...IF the Raiders KNOW they can't resign both players then what the poster is "i think" suggesting is what can be had for them .. Gaines Adams (Raiders need DL help) and a Williams a young RB, do the Raiders need another RB? (both players are recent top draft picks that are under contract I'd assume for the next 3-4 years) and a 1st rd pick...I'd rather keep our guys over the Bucs guys BUT if our guys are leaving after '08....????

I think you should not try to become a GM in professional football.

That trade would be BS.

So you're suggesting that the Raiders send 2 Pro Bowl players to the Bucs in exchange for an unproven DE, a broken down RB and a crap-shoot 1st round draft pick? Why on God's green Earth would the Raiders even remotely consider such a lopsided deal? They don't need Cadillac (whose biggest assett was his speed that now could be gone due to his injury), Gaines Adams may turn out to be a decent DE, but Burgess is a proven DE who can play at a Pro Bowl level, and the single draft pick you suggest form Tampa wouldn't even begin to be enough to make this trade worth it.

In other words, put down the pipe and walk away.

Unhappy

If I could name two people on this team that have proven to be good over the years I would probably name Aso and Dburg.

So you are asking me if this is a good trade .................................................. .................................................. .

Regardless of the post the name calling is never warranted. If you disagree you can state that with out calling names its not hard at all watch.

I really dont think that idea is a good one and I dont think it will happen either.
