This was the first I'd ever seen of this rumor. I like Aso, and would love him in Dallas, but there is zero shot of that happening for a variety of reasons.

#1: There is no way that Al is removing the Franchise tag off of him and letting him get away for nothing in return.

#2: Dallas is just under 4 million under the cap. The reason they're going for Pacman is cause he's going to come to them dirt cheap, even if they keep him on his current deal it's 3 years at less than 2 million a year. They can't afford Aso this year and they certainly couldn't afford Aso this year and then try and pay Newman next offseason and they're going to have to since Newman will be a UFA at seasons end.

I'm not so sure this is too far-fetched. John Clayton can speculate all he wants, but when's the last time 2 CB's made $10 mil a year long-term on the same team? I can't think of anyone, and that's what Aso will demand. This year he'll stay, but next year I don't see it. The only difference between Aso and C-Wood is that this time we have a veteran replacement for our best CB.

Thank you. Everyone that is saying that they are intrested, Dallas, NYGiants ect ect should be fined or something for TAMPERING. Sorry but he is an exclusive rights FA. Which means he is property of Oakland for this year and no other team can mention any kind of trade or contract with him. (see sf being penalized for this)..
