Question Raiders after David Boston?

http://www.sacbee.com/content/sports...-9433475c.html

Nobody can say the Raiders aren't trying to improve a 4-12 team.
In the same week that Oakland is pursuing a trade with Cincinnati's disgruntled running back Corey Dillon, a source close to San Diego Chargers receiver David Boston said the Raiders are one of five teams that have expressed interest in trading for the mercurial, sometimes dominant receiver.

Boston, 25, was in Miami on Thursday to meet with coach Dave Wannstedt, and the Dolphins remain the front-runners to acquire the 6-foot-4, 250-pound pass catcher. This week, San Diego gave Boston permission to seek a trade, the fallout of a stormy 2003 season in which the Chargers suspended Boston for missing team meetings and general insubordination.

A Raiders official described negotiations with Boston "as speculation."

The Raiders' apparent interest in Boston hints that they are preparing for 41-year-old Jerry Rice's all-but-announced retirement after the 2004 season and for the eventual retirement of Tim Brown, who will turn 38 during training camp. But they would presumably have to be creative in renegotiating existing contracts to acquire Boston. His deal with San Diego, signed in 2003, has him making $6.9 million over the next two seasons.

The Chargers are trying to trade Boston before Monday, when they would owe him a $1 million roster bonus.

I say do it.

Porter-Boston would be good

Let Rice go to the whinners & give T. Brown the minimum $$ & have him retire a RAIDER.
Also make the Dillon thing happen

That way we take a "D" player in the draft
Just my $0.02
