MODS PLEASE MOVE TO RUMOR MILL. THANKS

I'm probably posting this in the wrong Forum. So I apologize to the Mods if I did. But, I could see how a trade like this could directly affect us on draft day.

If the Rams feel like they can't afford Jackson's soon to be gigantic contract and are looking to rebuild what better face to build upon than, possibly, the biggest name in the draft?

If they pick Mcfadden at two than that would most likely leave either Chris or Jake long there for us to choose with the fourth... I guess we can only wait to see how this plays out

Quote:
The St. Louis Post reports that Rams running back Steven Jackson is on the move to the Cowboys.

Sources close to the deal say with ownership in limbo, unloading Jackson would help send the team into full rebuild mode. The star back is due a new contract and the organization doesn't see itself giving him the deserved payday. Owner Jerry Jones, who is no stranger to making the big splash, would love to get his hands on a combination back of Jackson's caliber. We hear Dallas has offered their 22nd pick and 92nd pick, along with a player to be named. Mar. 3 - 2:30pm

What?? That makes no sense from either side.

And will someone please tell Jerry Jones that they have a RB named Marion Barber who's not bad?!?!?

Why is that dude obsessed with getting a new #1 RB???

I think Jerry Jones has a hard-on for McDadden and any trade he does would involve Barber.

If this happens I definitely see C. Long dropping to us and this would make more sense for the Rams as they would get more picks to rebuild. I don't see why the Cowboys would draft McFadden if they get Steven Jackson via the trade unless they want to trade Marion Barber.
