According to Espn he and the Panthers have not seen eye to eye (money?)and he was almost traded last season. They wanted a 1st round pick and couldn't get it. They may be willing to drop those demands and he may even be released becasue they are happy with what they have at the position. At 6-4 335 the former pro-bowler could really help our run defense and fit in very well next to Kelly(if resigned). Maybe we could unload Jordan and a late round pick for him? Maybe he gets released? A trade before the draft would really free us up to focus on other stuff. C. Long would complete our D-line..Mcfadden would be easier to swallow if Jordan and Rhodes both go and Al can't help himself...heck we could put Kelly at DE and add one of the top DT in the draft to go next to Jenkins. DO IT AL! LOL

Little chance of getting him. The Panthers cleaned house and did not release Jenkins, so you'd have to trade for him. Corey Williams, though it will cost, would be our best bet. |
