The Denver Post reports the Atlanta Falcons are attempting to sign free-agent LB Ian Gold (Broncos). Gold spent Tuesday in Atlanta and predicted he will make a decision about where to sign before the end of the week. He did not sound overly optimistic he would return to Denver. "That's fair to say," Gold said. "Denver has had ample time to put a deal on the table that would keep me in Denver, but they haven't stepped up. For whatever reason, they're waiting to hear my offer from another team. But from this point in time, they do not have the opportunity to match that offer, because I am not a restricted free agent." Gold sounded confident he would land a more lucrative offer than the one Denver extended, leaving the Broncos with another hole to fill this offseason.

I'd like us to take a shot at Gold. He should be ready to go by training camp and he's a solid LB.
