These two didn't do bad the last time they were together. And, who else should get credit besides them, aside from players? Al? Pfft. Anyways. Maybe for hiring them, but that's it. They were doing nothing indicative of Davis's philosophy. Everything the opposite, as a matter of fact. Tressman didn't come along till Gruden was on his way out.
That offense of ours in 2000-2002 was pretty much the work of Gruden/Callahan, again, aside from Gannon's sharp decision making. You just can't leave Gannon out of the equation. It would be interesting to see what they can do with Garcia or Simms (Simms still there?). |

Interesting.

Therefore, your thoughts would have no validity, including the thought that life is a result of chance or natural processes. For it would be a proof that there are no such things as proofs. Which is nonsense. By destroying the validity of ideas evolution undercuts even the idea of evolution. |

If Callahan goes there, it would be interesting. In a way, Davis would be vindicated right off the bat because it would clearly demonstrate that Cali was Gruden's guy and not some yes man, which would refute the belief then of many fans, myself included, that Callahan was just a Davis mole. Of course, the latter was made pretty well clear later in the '03 season with Callahan's "dumbest team" comments (not the words of a company guy), and his last game suspension of two players that were big Davis guys. What a way to go out... lol. Callahan was an overrated head coach, but I can't say I don't like the guy.
Also interesting will be to see if "Grudahan" (never thought that term would be used again, lol) can win without a Rich Gannon. Of course, this is all assuming this isn't just gossip. |

I don't care if he goes to the Bucs it really doesn't effect us. He wasn't our solution for coaching needs. Sure he took us to the bowl, under the system Gruden had implemented, and incase anyone forgot Gruden picked it apart. I think as Raider fans we should be more worried about retaining our current head coach after next year than the coaching changes of a non division rival team.

Also did you see that big clipboard that Gruden carried with offensive plays? Gruden also called the plays; Gruden was in charge of the offense. Callahans' record in the NFL is 15-17; Callahan might be an ok coordinator but as a head coach he was a train wreck. Ask Nebraska; he broke a lot of records there; for futility. |
