Hopefully the Raiders can get a long term deal done without using the tag. But if necessary...use the tag and continue the efforts to nailing this dude down....he is young and is pivotal to the development of the defense.

He's not worth 9 million for one year. The Raiders went through this with Charles Woodson and it ended up being a waste of 16 million for 2 years of service.

all we KNOW is that Kiffin has said that he wants Aso back and that the Raiders are in discussions with Aso's agent. There's two ways to bring him back next year - a new contract or franchising him. Either option is 50% right now until some FACTS come out indicating one or the other is going to happen.
