Raiders eyeing Fremont
http://www.bleacherreport.com/articl...Raiders-030108
This is the first I've heard of it. Anyone else heard this before? A few things we do know: 1. The Colisuem is a sh*thole by NFL standards 2. Fremont is looking to get professional sports teams and has the land - possibly money? 3. Alot of money and Raiders fans in South bay 4. Al has no qualms about bailing out of Oakland As a South Bay Raider fan, I'm torn. I'd love to see them play in a decent facility but I also don't want Oakland to get screwed (again) All in all, this might just be shotty reporting. The writer might be thinking of the A's |

I'd love to see them in a new stadium in OAK, but a new stadium anywhere works for me. I'm over the LA thing though. They had two teams and couldn't hold onto either of them. Justmy2cents

LA is a terrible place for the Raiders.
They would never sell out, especially in it's current state. There would be idiotic Thug Nation types fighting/killing opposing fans. The Raiders would lose even more fans in the Bay Area. There is no facility deserving of an NFL team. Los Angeles is not an NFL city.

please, please, please don't screw w/ the most storied professional sports franchise in the history of our little blue rock. They are the Oakland Raiders and always have been, not the ***(insert any city here)**** Raiders. Thats just that. But the collesium is kind of like that spot under the interstate where the Hobos' hang. It could use some upgrades.

1. The only way they end up in LA is if the team changes ownership and imo the NFL would love that all the way around. IMO to the NFL the Raiders fit in LA just not with Al at the helm.
2. Fremont is close enough to Oakland to still be the Oakland Raiders, there are plenty of teams that play slightly out of the town they are named after. IMO anything within 30 miles of Oakland with a new stadium invovled is a good thing and nothing we should be emotional over. The same people can still make the game. |
