Exclamation Sapp to Retire?

Jay Glazer reported that he spoke to a very angry and frustrated Sapp, who asked for a tape of him bumpin the official which cost him $75K.

Glazer reported that he is likely done with the game and will retire after this season...

I hope sapp gets 2 sacks this game so he got his 100 sacks in career.

I think he will...

Glazer is not breaking anything new here. Many CBS guys, and other experts around the NFL have stated he could walk away after this season. What's gone on here in OAK since signing has taken a toll on him...

He should go on a crusade against the NFL officials. Anymore these guys think they are God and are ruining the game. It has gotten so bad the NFL has to have Mike Perrera defend the refs on the NFL network.

Mike Pereira does a lot of spots here in NY on radio with Mike & the Mad Dogg to talk about calls etc., and has done that for years.

He generally is straightforward when talking about who f'ed up and who didnt.

And what I like, is that those guys tell him many times how far the officiating has dipped in recent years league wide.

It is horrid! I understand a bad call, but when you wrestle a player to the ground or make up something to eject a player from a game, you are hindering the game of football and in my opinion the NFL needs to rebuild from the ground up. It has gotten way out of hand.

I think its time for Sapp to retire.I have been a fan of his since his days at the U.He can still contribute but not as an every day player.I dont see why he would want to hang on in a part time role unless it is with a winning team.I hope he comes out with a chip on his shoulder today and takes it out on SD and than annonces his retirement

Yeah man...

The guy's weight loss may be a good thing physically etc., but in terms of how it translated onto the field...

It didnt work out. It hasnt led to more sacks, equal amount from last season and his play took a dip this year. Heck, at DT, for the years he has played, eventually, you do take a dip and it takes its toll...

The guy is a 1st ballot HOF. He doesnt have to stick around and prove anything to us.

If we were on the verge of winning i think he would stay just for the satisfaction of having been here for some crap years. We are a few years away at least and he doesnt have that kind of time. The only way i see him staying is if he plays in florida close to home just because he cant walk away.I think he will be a funny guy as a studio analyst if thats what he wants

He has the gift of gab...

Yeah, I thought of him maybe going to MIA, ending his career there, but he is not the Parcells type of player, in terms of philosophy...

Not attitude, but that generally Tuna likes big run stuffing DTs.

I agree the tuna likes them huge up the middle with speed off the edges.I wish our raiders would figure that out

The Sapp signing was the begining of the end of the Raider organization. I've hated Warren Sapp since his days at the U. When we signed him I felt we would not have a winning season until he was off this team. He is a load mouth, whos game has diminished since his last seaosn in Tampa. I hope he leaves and it will allow us to win again.
