I doubt it, but if Kiffin walked for a college job I think it would be rock bottom. I think at that point you go to Cower and say whatever it takes Bill, no fire clause, personel control, whatever you want, just bring us back! I could sort of understand if it was Michigan, but they aren't going to hire him anyway.

If you were Lane would you not even listen to offers?
Of course you would. Anyone would. They'll be throwing money and control/power at him. Kiffin may even be more suited or 'happier' in the NCAA running a whole program HIS way. More excited scouting for talent with no barriers (Al Davis). More excited by the bigger atmosphere of college football. More interested in the huge amount of creativity of play-designing in college than in the NFL. Kiffin's always wanted to be a HC, and in the NFL, tho. So, he may just be listening to offers, just to listen, but still firmly interested in continuing in the NFL. Or So, he may take a 4 year tenure at college to gain more experience before returning to the NFL as a still young man of 37. If he does go, it could be either Al forcing him out with Lane knowing he's to be fired, or it could be Lane just tendering his resignation - due to Al problems or the lure of the NCAA....or a combination of both.

Kiffin is under contract for three years. He can certainly listen to offers, but he cannot break his own contract. Only Davis could do so.

well...GUESS WHAT!?!?!?...its true lane kiffin is listening out there..i am watching espn news and there talking about nebraska candidates ...and they said lane kiffin .....alot of jobs out there for college candidates ....sucks because if it really did happen ..we would basically need to start over as in another season of learning new plays
