Earth to Lane Kiffin
I like Lane Kiffin but Anthony Carroll of NFL news had a GREAT line. Earth to Lane Kiffin: Josh McCown stinks. I think he should start Walter. Too dangerous to take a chance on destroying Russel and having to rebuild him. We all know what McCown is capable of....except for Lane (LOL). Did Anthony Carroll steal that opinion or thought off someone else's site or is this his one original thought? Apparently Anthony Carroll has unlimited access to Raiders practices and breaks down film with Kiff & Knapp.

The Raiders aren't as bad under interim coach Tom Cable as they were under Lane Kiffin, who went 5-15 before his Sept. 30 firing. They're worse, as evidenced by three blowout losses -in four games.

whatever people think, walter is not a good option. does anyone realize that the only plays our offense makes is when we are scrambling. this is because our o-line still sucks. with our qbs on the run all the time (and a lot of our plays based on a scrambling qb) Walter is definitely not the guy you want in there.

I will say this, Walter is a far more accurate and confident QB than McCown. Walter will stand in the pocket with poise and is not afraid of getting smacked hard while waiting for a reciever to become open.....the problem is, getting the recievers open.....McCown always appears hurried and his accuracy has been very suspect. Kiffin doens't have much to work with at the QB position. I eagerly await Russell's moment, and a pray it will be a success. Kiffin is a former QB, and is offense minded, he knows what to do with Russell. When the time comes, Russell could be a shot of adrenaline and motivation to the other players, and they might even step up their play level 10 fold, and turn this season around to one of respectability. I feel great days are ahead, and in the near future for this team.
