The reason BJ Ward got cut

let me start off by saying my old roommate moved to Oakland in May for a job with the Raiders. He previously worked with the NY Giants and got offered a job with the Raiders and couldnt pass it up.

With that being said, the reason why BJ Ward was cut was because of Fargas. The night before one of the games this season, Ward missed curfew. It is known throughout the Raiders locker-room that it was Fargas who was the guy that ratted on Ward, which ultimately led to his release.

In the meantime, their has been some animosity towards Fargas for being a snitch and this has been relayed on the practice field. Recently, their was a pretty big fight with helmets and fists being swung at each other between Josh Shaw and Fargas. According to my source, who saw it first hand, said that fargas held his own against a much bigger Shaw.

My source also said that sentiments at Raiders HQ seem to feel Kiffin will be here for at least five years, and dont expect al to abandon ship on Kiffin even if we have another losing season next year (which hopefully will not happen). He said Al is enamored with Kiffin.

Just thought I would share.

Great info and good for Fargas. Some may not approve of him "snitching", but players missing curfew is indicative of the dysfunction that's plagued this team since Gruden left, so Fargas standing up tells me one thing; he's tired of losing! Kiffin IS the guy for this reclamation project, I have no doubt.

Interesting. Thanks.

I'm not surprised Fargas can hold his own.

I think his play also could have contributed to getting cut, not just being late for curfew.

THANKS again.

Im sure it didnt help either.

Also - a few other tidbits

he said Dwight is flying around the field, the dudes got a crazy motor, and is lightning quick. he was also amazed how small Dwight truly is.

He also stated the obvious - reason for Williams being cut - he hasnt been giving it all, which isnt just about catching balls, Williams is taking plays off down the field blocking as was evident one Sunday afternoon. My source said he strongly believes this was as much Al's decision as it was Kiffins.

Oh -------- He said the coolest thing since he has been there, is one of the first few days he started working for the Raiders, that Al had an assistant walk over to him and ask who he was. He went onto explain to the assistant that he just started and was really excited about the opportunity, and the assistant went back to al and told him what my old roommate/source was doing there, so then Al sent the assistant back to bring him over to Al. Al introduced himself and my roommate was in awe (hes not even a raider fan) although he said he can easily see how he is becoming one.
He told me that its just crazy that Al wants to know what everyone is doing is there and he obviously notices new faces.

I have more stories to share, which I will in the next coming days, and I will try to give out as much information as I can as it arises.

Although "snitching" maybe be bad in the hip-hop community, I think Fargas is the bigger man on this one. What would Gannon do? Richie would have torn Ward a new a-hole. Rich is the guy that had all of the video games and pool tables removed. Is there a connection between Rich keeping everyone in check and us winning for those years? Maybe...maybe not. Do I have a problem with someone stepping up and being a leader off of the field? No freakin' way. In my book, Fargas gains points.

I love Fargas as a player but have lost a lot of respect for him just now for bein a snitch, one thing you don't do is rat on someone, especially a teamate...I can't see eye to eye with him or anyone on that one

So if your boss scheduled a big meeting and everyone showed up on time but one dude, would you tell the boss? It's called being a grown-up. These are professionals and part of their job is to be in the hotel on time.

Would it have been better for Fargas to lie if he was asked the question directly?
