I wonder if Carolina would be interested in Andrew Walter?
I see that David Carr left Carolina's game today with a back injury (he was carted to the locker room from the sideline). With Jake Delhomme already battling an elbow injury that seems pretty serious, I wonder if Carolina would trade for Andrew Walter?

Carolina is down to their 3rd string QB and I don't know of any other teams that might show an interest in him at this point.

I think if and when Walter is traded or released this year, it won't be until McCown in 100% healthy..

I mean it's not like Walter would bring more than a late second day draft pick anyway, I would think..

so why risks with your quarterback situation..

Yeah except that the trading deadline is October 16. So if the Raiders want to get anything for Walter at all they have to do it pretty soon. That's why I'm betting no one will give up even a 6th or 7th round pick for Walter since it is likely we will release him soon anyway.

Delhome has elected to have surgery and end his season. Even if Carr is ok, their only other QB on the roster is an undrafted free agent rookie.

They play in Arizona next week and they have to do something to add another QB to the depth chart before then. If I'm Carolina, I'd trade a 6th or 7th for AW right now.
