Fabian Washington on the trading block ?

According to Len Pasquarelli on ESPN Insider's Rumor Central, the Raiders are shopping Fabian Washington. The coaches are supposedly down on Washington due to his lack of awareness.

Well, I picked this up from another board but they didn't have the link and it sure wasn't from the BSPN board either but since Len Pasquarelli suppose of said it this belong right in here in the rumor mill

I guess this is why Routt is starting over Fabian since I can also tell Fabian doesn't have good awareness though

Wonder what they have in mind. I think Fabs is good, it took Aso 3 or 4 years to develop...why don't they give Fab some time?

From an outsiders perspective (far outside I guess because I'm a fan not a coach or player) I think they're rushing development too fast or expect everyone to be good right now not in the future. Its like they dont want to give time for anyone to GET better they want them better now, which may hurt us in the future looking for success now. Just what I see not that its really how it is or anything. But what if we would have traded Nnamdi and he broke out as a shutdown corner somewhere else? or Released Lamont last year or something and he came back and rushed for 100+ yards against us?

I think Rout has better tools then Washington . Both players have alot of upside but Routs speed and size give him a better shot of becoming something special in todays NFL.

Coaches need the now or they will be gone the next season while the player is still there. I can see why they would do it.

maybe they will package him with Andrew and Carr and send them to Atlanta for Hall and picks. Not what I would want, but would tie all the rumors together.

I've always kind of feared that Washington was another Phillip Buchanon. Fast and physical, but sorely lacking in awareness and poor at tackling.

My thoughts exactly. I wouldn't be for it or against it. Personally, I'm a Fabio fan, but if he's gotta go he's gotta go. Bringing someone like Hall in would be huge and would solidify this defense even more so. We're looking great already but bringing in another hard hitting ballhawk like Hall, hell, why not?

Guess we'll find out what all these rumors are going to develope into over the next couple of days or weeks.

Go Raiders!

I would hate to see Fabian go and you need a lot of db's for pass formations these days. I thought he played very well last year and I would keep him.
