Andrew Walter to the 49ers ?

Yea I hate Rumors but my friend who is a 49er fan called me up and said that he heard on the radio that the 49ers are interested in Andrew Walter and will like to trade for him if Alex Smith can't play for the rest of the season.

I was like you guys better ride or die with Trent Dilfer but he thinks Walter is better then Dilfer and Smith but yea thats what he told me and I'm trying to listen out for anything about this.

You know what...i hate to lose Walter, but if he does go to SF...i hope he tears it up and shows he was the best QB in that draft.

I agree, and we can't really afford 4 spots on the roster for QB. If this happens I will root for Walter all the way, even tho I hate the whiners.

That would be a nice pick up for the niners. We'll probably aquire a 3rd or 4th for him (conditional of course).

That'd be a good trade for the 49ers. I think he'd fit in well there. Either there or Arizona for a homecoming.

I think trading Andrew to Frisco will be a good idea. He would get a better opportunity in playing over there, especially that Alex Smith is banged up.

I am down with trading Walter to the team that gives up the most in return. If it is the 49ers so be it. I would rather have Walter come back as the backup to JaMarcus next year but Kiffin hates Walter's game so it's not going to happen.

Dilfer looked horrible against Seattle last week so it's hard to imagine anyone doing worse. I envision Shaun Hill or whoever their third string QB to see playing time before too long if/when Dilfer sucks again this week. Alex Smith will be back in a 3-4 weeks though.

Smith doesnt need surgery. Trades might be out now.

I hope we keep Walter and unload McCown instead.
Walter comes with a low salary and that is what you want sitting
on the bench.
