Coop coming back?
I got one of my last copies of Silver and Black Illustrated yesterday. In it they said that the Raiders have been talking to Cooper's agent about resigning him. Still haggling money at this time. Also said they would make room for him by trading Carr to Philly. The deal there is almost done and would be for draft picks. Anybody else hear this or can confirm?

Sorry, Candy. Just reporting what I read. They seemed very sure that Cooper was on his way back. They had to wait for his suspension to be over and they are in fact in talks. There was some contention over money, but thought it would get worked out. They said they were bringing him back to 1) help kick coverage and 2) to cover the nickel package when Carr gets traded. That is why I wanted to have someone confirm if they have knowledge. This was interesting to me. We badly need Coop back for kick coverage, but I don't see him helping out that much in the Nickel.

If this happens CoopFan will be stoked beyond belief. Coop is my favorite Raider/ExRaider so I would be happy as well. Don't get rid of Carr though. We have enough bad DB on the defense to pick someone else. Forget the trade just sign and cut Johnson or someone.

I hear you, Ran, but this is what SB&I is reporting. They usually do not go out on limbs there nor do they like to report Rumors, so they must have some poop on this. One of the problems I have with SB&I is that they are too "safe" with their reporting and usually print stuff I have read a hundred times over here already. This was interesting that they printed it before it being here first. I think we need Coop back bad, but I too would rather cut Johnson first. Raiders are looking for value though, and no one wants Johnson but they do want Carr.

Coop would bring a spark back to the special teams so thats a solid pick-up IMO.

Carr has been rumored to be traded for awhile now, I think he and Walter will be gone during the bye week.

Drop Hiram Eugenes ass. Coop would be a huge addition to our SP teams. If we got coop back in the mix and a healthy ekejuba or ST coverage would be much improved.

It is my understanding that his suspension is not effective until he is signed by a team. So by him missing the first four games of the year but not being under contract, he must still serve 4 games. I don't think this makes much sense - seems like his game was on the decline and he's pretty one dimensional...
