My inside sourse says Walter is out!!!
I have a buddy who worked for the Raiders this offseason, and the word is that Andrew Walter is gone at the end of the preseason. No lie, no rumor, this is direct info. The only reason i put it in the rumor mill is because i have never posted before and just assumed no one would belive me.

I think he's the odd man out as soon as Russell signs, but if that doesn't happen before September 9th, I could see the Raiders keeping him around over Jeff Otis

even though they would be guaranteeing his paltry $435,000 salary and maybe attempting to work out a trade for a late round pick when Russell does sign.

Atylla is right. Until Russell signs nothing can happen.

The likely scenario is sign JR and trade Walter to Atlanta. Atlanta has lost Vick and a back up.

Having Joey Harrington and nothing is not an attractive thing for the Falcons who have to try and salvage a season and fan base.

i think after russell signs, we may keep four since madsen can convert to wr and mccown could be an emergency wr as well.

Walter will haunt is if they let him go. We need to get something for him, he will be a great QB somewhere. We haven't seen him in a regular season game with a decent O line yet.

I think Atl will go hard at Leftwich if he is released (as rumored) and we wont go into the season with 2 Qb's so hes safe until JRuss signs.

Agreed. Remember when Walter "was" the future? He's going to be a great QB for sure, but he's just not going to get the time with us behind J-Rus and a resurgent Culpepper. McCown is a warrior too and that also doesn't bode well for Walter. I'd like to see us get something for him though or it would indeed be a terrible wast on our part.

If it was for sure that Walter is going to be a great QB then we wouldn't have gone with Russell, but nothing is for sure especially with QB's.

He still has a chance to get with another team and do something but he has just as much chance to be a career backup.

Any random fan can say that Walter is the odd man out. Any fan would understand only carrying 3 QBs so obviously it would have to be the 2 experienced QBs and our high priced Rookie.

If Walter gets cut or traded you get a bit of credibility cause you posted this. If he doesnt then oh well it was in the rumor mill.

The fight isnt over yet.
