According to this guy he will...

Am I the only one who sees that the Oakland Raiders are heading in the right direction? I am admittedly a diehard Silver and Black fan, even an apologist at times, so I look twice at my thoughts on the Raiders: I believe this team can go 9-7, at worst 8-8. I believe this is a top-10 defense.

It means nothing that JaMarcus Russell is not in camp because he was never going to be the starter this season. The Raiders openly pursued Daunte Culpepper as soon as he became a castoff in Miami. What Russell represents is the future. Culpepper is the perfect fit for this year. He is a one-year guy who is fighting for his NFL life, and when Russell does get to camp (I am told it will be this week), he can learn from Culpepper, who may be gone next season.

LaMont Jordan is at legit No. 1 back who can carry the ball 25 times a game. Jerry Porter, Ronald Curry, Alvis Whitted, Mike Williams and Doug Gabriel form a deep and talented group of receivers. The hole is still the O-Line, another reason you do not want Russell in the game now. I am not saying the Nation will celebrate a return to glory this season, but when the Raiders beat the Broncos twice and the Chiefs and Chargers once, remember who told you the Raiders are pointed in the right direction, and that is at the 2009 Super Bowl!

interesting....i sure hope he hurries the F. up...this guy is very enthusiastic which isnt a bad thing but it can blind the view on reality at times,.

We will see. But Whitted helps to form a deep and talented group of revievers? I guess if it was based on speed alone.

I like that he is a Raiders fan sometimes that can cloud any of our judgement though.

9-7?8-8?Whoa young tiger lets learn to crawl before we can walk ok? Preseason is NOT a reflection of how the regular season goes. looking at the schedule and the roster I think 6-10 is more realistic.

My Baby Mama Uncles Friends Cousins Brothers Friends Sister says JaGreedy will not sign until after the 10th game. j/k Had to throw that out there. Moved to the Rumor Mill. At this point it doesn't even matter for this season cus Russell will never see the field. Sounds good except for the Whitted part. This science project just needs to end. Last Saturday just sealed the deal.

everyone has their sources that he will sign, this day or that day, but as we all type this and sit on our asses and get fatter, russell is doing the same thing back at home, eating all that friend chicken, getting fatter and fatter. i know i shouldnt be saying that but i find it hard to believe he is working out every day, eager and anxious to get in camp.
