Exclamation Jerry Porter interaction with 66th Mob Fans.

For those that follow the Raiders.com site most of you know the 66th mob held yet another function that made the Raiders official website. Coach Kiffin came out and interacted with the fans along with pretty much the whole coaching staff, and a surplus of players.

An email sent out by Griz, the founder of the 66th Mob, states that more than a few of the fans approached Porter prior to the practice and he refused to sign autographs. According to the members at the function :

"Jerry refused to sign any autograph for them making it clear, 'He feels the fans owe him an apology for treating him like crap last year. He will not sign any autographs and does not plan on being in Oakland after this upcoming season'. "

Now i wasnt there, but this doesnt seem to be far from reality. I have personally had the same encounters with him prior to this season and I for one never believed he actually made the change.

I mean, all I can ask his he still respects his team mates for the year he is here, and that it isnt 100% because of it being his contract year before hitting FA next season.

I mean we cant complain if he puts in 100%, but I'm just saying, dont be fooled. Porters still Porter, the same whining little bitch from the previous seasons.

Any mature human being would have signed the three damn autographs they asked him for, not cried about being treated wrong last season.

WAH, porter. Cry about it. The fans were obviously over it since they were asking you for the god damn autograph. But you just wont let it go.

As a player I'm sure I'll be pleased with him this season. But as a RAIDER, and a human being? Man, fukk him!

My $0.02.

The part about that story that I'm confused about is:

Why would he choose to be available to interact with the fans at all if that was going to be his true stance?

Was the 66th Mob's function a "required" interaction in some way by the organization?

I'm not saying that it's impossible that Jerry Porter was offended by his less than pleasing reception at a few games and outings last season, but hey...
that's Pro Sports for you!

Somebody hand him a copy of Raiderfans.net the Magazine Issue #3.

Maybe that story will make him feel better about staying in Oakland!

I remember the interview where he complained about Art Shell not treating him like a grown man. Ok Jerry here's your chance and you're blowing it.

Nexx, I didnt make it clear. My bad.

He wasnt made available for interaction with the fans. I've attended a few of these functions and the fans chill infront of the entrance gate so every player has to drive up, infront of all the fans, roll his window down to enter the code for the gate to open.

This happened when Porter pulled up to the gate to entrance the players parking lot and players entrance into the HQ.

The fans had limited access to whatever 'really' went down last year. All we knew was that he had a disagreement with the coach and was suspended accordingly. What does he honestly expect from the fans, it's not like we had locker room passes and were even able to see his side of the story.

If this is true, shame on his whiny ass. If not, get your grub on Jerry, please feel free to prove the fans wrong.

I've said it before... a leopard doesn't change his spots.

I don't care what he does or says, as long as he gives 100% on the field. Hopefully, he will do great and get the f**k out of Oakland next year.

If that is Jerry's stance, and he feels that 'fans owe him an apology...'

He needs to grow up and stop

This is sports. He gets paid a lot of money to play football. Along with the responsibilities, duties etc. he has, what he has to realize is that fans dont owe him anything - EVER!

Have they thrown batteries at him or his family? Have they invaded his home, or tried to egg his house?

If its 'boos' or some verbal rippin' that got him this way after last season - then he needs to have thicker skin and learn to grow up.

I've said all along, the ONLY reason the prick is playing nice in the media and attended the OTA, is he and his agent are trying to salvage his beat up image

in preparation for his impending free agency at the end of the season.. One of the worst Raiders to ever put on the uniform.. Can't wait 'til he's gone.
