McNabb to Chicago?
Eagles to trade McNabb to Bears?

The recent drafting of quarterback Kevin Kolb could mean that Donovan McNabb will be traded before the 2007 season. A few observers have opined that McNabb will be moved after the coming season. But here's a scenario that has him moving before September. The Bears are ready to win the Super Bowl. This scenario obviously depends on two things. One, that McNabb is physically ready to play on Week 1 of the 2007 season. Two, that Chicago is convinced McNabb is their best available QB option.

The Bears have 2 unhappy players on the D side of the ball...it would take both of them to get McNabb if I was running the Eagles. Kolb is the next best QB on their team and thats a steep drop-off

Bears would be yoked with McNabb. Good thing they're in the NFC.

This isn't as farfetched as people are making it out to be. There are factors that make this trade slightly plausible:

1) Bears need a solid quarterback.
2) Eagles have upset McNabb - intentionally?
3) Bears can trade Briggs for McNabb
4) Nobody expected Kolb to be picked that high. The Eagles obviously expect big things from him.

I'm not saying I believe in this rumour. In fact, I think it is rubbish and it will probably never happen...but don't rule it out.

Both teams should do it at this point. Eagles drafting a QB where they did leads to signs that they want to head in a different direction soon, they havent provided McNabb with support there over the years -- IMO, not given him a fair shot. And if he goes to Chic., stays healthy -- that team will be a liegitimate threat to win it all.
