Good News/Bad News

...hehehe... Check it out. A mock draft for next year that has the Raiders drafting Darren McFadden. The bad news is, they have them picking first so, not much faith in this season.

This guy posted this blog after Keyshawn was released. I wouldn't put much stock in his predictions.

Some of that was absolute crap.

This guy has a couple of teams that are locked at QB, NO and Seattle taking phenom 1st's instead of developing talent from later rounds while skipping entire desperate areas of need and these are not the Eagles with a good QB coming off two major injuries. Hasslebeck is getting back to old form and Brees is back to his old form. NO could use a lot of help in the defense (everywhere but end) and Seattle needs many upgrades throughout an aging team. Anyone know if they found an adequate replacement for Wistrom?

I guess I'll give the dude credit for taking a blind stab at next year when this year hasn't even gotten past no pads practices so props to him. I just disagree with him completely on Oakland and Houston.

Both teams have taken dramatic steps in the right direction and should not be in the Top 5 in next years draft. Maybe not even the top ten.
If this did pan out and we ended up with the #1 again next year it would not be RB. Bush will get his year to heal and a year to show, Lamont might go bye-bye if he plays poorly but a decent back to split time won't be hard to acquire in FA. A trade down would occur next year when many more team pieces will be in place next draft than were this draft. No GLARING holes to fill with a #1 pick.

And Houston will do much better defensively with the sophmore Williams, Ryans and rookie Okoye than they have ever before. Their offensive fate rests on a O-line improving without help and a QB trade for a basically unknown QB with potential but only two starts in the league.

Just my opinion

I think the bills get the #1 pick in 2008. They lost 2 starting LBers, starting RB, CB, and overpaid for average players. The texans would probably be my pick for #2. I think Giants will have a top 10 pick as well b/c eli cant rely on tiki to carry the team anymore. This guy has the skins winning the nfc east? That would be a shocker considering their dline gets no pressure alone.

I'd settle for Darren McFadden. Not the first overall pick though.

I really wouldnt care who we have in the back field at that time. if we can draft someone like mcfadden that would be great. I dont like the big runners. we need someone balanced like LT.

Anyway this is too early for mock drafts and I dont think the Raiders will be in the top five unless they make trade.
