Oak/Atlanta/Detroit trade?
If the rumors about the Falcons after CJ are true:

The Raiders could make the trade to #8 plus picks-- then make a trade with Detroit back to the #2 spot. The Lions would get their picks, Calvin would go to Atlanta, and the Raiders would still have their pick between Russel and Quinn -- and maybe still have an extra pick left over.

Unlikely, but effective.

Not likely...Detroit wants Gaines Adams. They cannot trade with us back to number 8 and still get him. They won't do that deal. The farthest I see Detroit trading back is to nbr 4. While I would love to see Johnson in Black and Silver, I think we will be forced to take Russell at nbr 1. Not a bad pick either way. Its good to be a Raider fan this weekend.

They were actually talking about a trade like that on Sirius NFL today. We trade with Atlanta, then we trade back up with either Cleveland or Detroit. Don't think it holds any water...but it makes Saturday more interesting.

The Raiders would be better off because 1)they would still have a pick or two left from Atlanta because it won't take the same amount of compensation to trade to Detroit. 2)And more importantly, the Raiders would not have to pay #1 pick money to the player they want. That's how.

Not that it would happen though.
