JUST SAY NO TO CULPEPPER!!!!!!!!!

He is damaged goods right now. So what if we need a vet to compete, he's awful, he's not even healthy, he's not known as a good teammate, we need to stay far away from him.

not a bad move in my opinion if it is true. They both are similar in style and Russell could learn under Culpepper.

I wouldnt mind Walter-Russell-Culpepper (with culpepper being signed to a reasonable contract.)

I dont think daunte is the same player he used to be, and honestly if Oakland's future depends on it, I dont want to find out. But in my honest opinion I think that daunte could be the Perfect mentor for Russell. Both have similiar physic's & style. Daunte has also been there & done that, so he could help out Russell.

This is the only situation that I would want culpepper in. He'd also have to come with a reasonable contract, as our 3rd QB.

Once again though.....I think he'd be the Perfect mentor to JaMarcus Russell.

If we dont have to pour out a huge amount of money for Culpepper then I say we should try and sign him if he gets cut. He can mentor Quinn and maybe play if he ever gets healthy again.

By the time Culpepper is healthy enough to play we'd be starting Russell...May happen, but I hope not

dont worry about pepper's health. if he doesn't pass the physical, he won't be taken. the Raider's seem to be good about doing their due-diligence on injuries.

As i stated on another thread, I saw a segment about Culpepper on the NFL Network and it showed him in mini-camp going thru QB drills and he looked good to me. His teammates also said that though he wasn't 100%, he was looking good.

I would sign Culpepper to a two year contract with a lot of performance pay. I would also draft Russell and if and when Culpepper plays up to his standards possibly trade him to another team for a 2nd or 3rd the following year. If he's healthy and puts up good numbers its not to unrealistic. Dolphins gave up a second for him with a blown out knee.
