NFL Network's Adam Schefter reports the Lions have given no recent indication they're willing to trade backup QB Josh McCown.
Schefter says the Lions may be posturing, but that it "sounds to (him)" like the team will not be moving McCown before the season. This would eliminate another candidate to start at QB for the Raiders in 2007, possibly forcing them to focus their attention on Daunte Culpepper.

it explains why the raiders contacted Rattay.
let rattay, walter and a rook battle it out at camp. Rattay has more experience and he can be a good back up/mentor to walter. CJ will make walter a better QB. not to mention Kiffin can mold an offense to fit the QB's strength. something he didn't have last year. if not at least Brohm and booty will be avaliable next year lol
The Lions are just trying to do whatever they can to force the Raiders into taking a QB at #1 because it will make #2 that much more valuable with everyone wanting to trade up to get CJ.
Screw the Lions, CJ will be going #1.
Screw KC too if they are trying to hold up the Green to Miami trade so Culpepper can't sign with the Raiders.
Actually screw KC anyway!
yeah, i'm cool with rattay, walter, and edwards and cj. i'm also cool with russell, rattay, and walter with zach miller instead of edwards. i think we're in a winning situation here no matter what. if we get russell, i think we'll bring in martinez to help him out, so i'm not too worried.
