Falling prospect, Cal rb Marshawn Lynch

California junior running back Marshawn Lynch
Scouts have probably wavered more on Lynch's grade more than any other prospect; he ranges from surefire top-20 to second-rounder. Lynch's evaluation has been affected by accusations of a sexual assault (charges have not been filed); his late-season ankle and back injuries; fumbling problem; and speculation that he got a less than glowing review from the Cal coaching staff.

Lynch posted solid workout numbers across the board at the combine, but there's a notion by several teams that numerous potential 1,000-yard rushers will still be on the board in rounds 2-3. Therefore, if teams have long-term concerns about Lynch, he could still be on the board towards the later portion of round 1. In that scenario, teams could look to trade up for his services as was the case with Kevin Jones and Steven Jackson in recent drafts.

It would be nice if he fell to use in the second i really dont think we could pass on him! and if we did get him we could possibly make jordan a june 1st cut!

If the Raiders picked up Lynch - I wonder if there is any demand for LaMont Jordan? Maybe a late 3rd - early 5th round pick or in trade for a decent player? I happen to believe there wouldn't be too many teams willing to give up much, if anything, for LaMont similar to Randy Moss.

The Raiders aren't as bad under interim coach Tom Cable as they were under Lane Kiffin, who went 5-15 before his Sept. 30 firing. They're worse, as evidenced by three blowout losses -in four games.

I have my own take on Lynch, if drafted by the Raiders of Oakland he will succeed for sure, any other team failure is the only option. So please all NFL teams let him fall to the 7th round 1st overall of the 7th round so we the Oakland fans can bask in his running abilities.
