Without those hardcore offseason workouts J. Rice likely wouldn't have lasted as many season as he did.

Yup. Like I said, ahletes like Tiki Barber, M.Harrison among many others now utilize his training year round to stay in tip top shape and add longevity to their careers, improve their game etc
