This is a great signing, and I'm glad we are keeping the contracts short.
Running back Dominic Rhodes is going from the Super Bowl champions to the team that posted the worst record in the NFL last season, after agreeing Friday to a two-year contract with the Oakland Raiders...

It's an interesting signing that's for sure.
Stats wise, the two (Jordan and Rhodes) are pretty comparable. Running style, they're pretty comparable as well.
It'll be a good training camp/pre-season battle that's for sure. I know that Rhodes said that he won't settle for anything less than starting, so we'll just have to wait and see what happens. The restructuring of Jordan's contract could make him more affordable on the trading block, but I don't believe (and heck, I could be wrong) that's the plan.
I, for one, would have rather had us pick up Adrian Peterson in the draft, now it's down to either QB or WR.
What's really interesting is that he didn't sign for an outrageous amount of money, and he signed with us. Why? What did he see or experience in his interview process that would make him go from the SB Champs to us? Don't tell me history either because it's the future of the team that brings people in......
Later.
Info on the front page is much better... IMO
