A Raiders official, speaking on the condition of anonymity, confirmed that Martz is believed to be on Davis' short list of candidates. As of Tuesday, the Raiders had not contacted Martz for an interview. |

Mike Martz is a great offensive coach. But too often he abandons the running game and falls in love the passing approach. He uses silly and pointless challenges which cost the team timeout. He spends all of his time with the offense and pays little attention to defense. I just don't think he is the right leader for the team at this time.
