I wish the Raiders would hire Martz. He would turn this offseason aroudn in no time. He knows his offesne and he is something the Raiders need.

I would much rather see Sark become the OC before he is a HC.

Martz - HC
Sark - OC
Ryan - DC

Get er done.

Maybe Martz can work out for the Raiders.

I wouldn't mind having Martz, but as nothing more than an OC.

he didnt do great in detroit?
he turned their passing game into the #7 passing game in the nfl this past year.....
from #27 to #7.
the team was 3-13. that's the bottom line. he's not a savior.

but he is a definite upgrade and i would welcome him. just trying to temper the usual over-the-top hysteria that we hear for every player and coach the Raiders are looking at - that almost nevers lives up to the grand expectations.

If the Raiders want to have a balanced Team, Hire Martz Al davis he can turn an offense into a very potent one.

No thanks on the "Offensive mad scientist", we have one mad scientist up stairs! I'll take a great young head coach though.

This is true. No way he can be a OC here. He could be Assistant HC OC though.

A HC should be allowed to pick his own staff other wise he is just another puppet. This whole BS is really starting to get to me.
If Martz shows up for an interview it's going to make obvious what I've known all along. That Martz didn't "Pull" his name from consideration" last time, at all. When it was clear that he wasn't going to get the job, just like Whisenhunt, he pulled a posturing move. Just like Al said in the press conference.

you cant deny his offensive schemes dont work with 2 superbowls in st. louis, the question is, is the state of california big enough for the 2 egos to coexist?

Mike Martz is a great offensive coach. But too often he abandons the running game and falls in love the passing approach. He uses silly and pointless challenges which cost the team timeout. He spends all of his time with the offense and pays little attention to defense. I just don't think he is the right leader for the team at this time.
