It will be hard for the Shell and Brooks bashers to reconcile this one.
Cohn's brutal Shell bashing included an objective look at how 3 good drives by Brooks were terminated by things that are more the coaches responsiblity, than the coaches. The Chris Carr fumble which cost the Raiders 7, the Crockett fumble inside the 20, and the Anderson taunting penalty deep in Rams territory. Sure. Blame Brooks. If he wanted to look at AW, fine. Tell Brooks that's what's going on. .

Walter should start, always. He needs to get this Alex Smith season done with because next year, if given the chance, will be a solid qb. And with our D, a solid QB and a decent offense is all we need.

For the life of me, I can't see how Al Davis can let this fool coach again next season. But I know he will be on the sideline for another disasterous season next year before Davis realizes that he has done it again, failed in hiring a competent coach.
