A telling quote:

"...Raiders would probably need to get a coaching staff more adept at utilizing common sense. Shell and Co. haven't exactly made smart decisions this year,..."

kind of this season in a nutshell.

I never dreamt that I would be jealous (like seeing an ex girlfriend with another dude) , watching Norv Turner on national tv calling a great game for the whiners this season....

I actually was at a point thinking to myself "gawdamn how good would we be if he was still our coach??? LOL!!!

Yes , it's been that bad here in 06!!!

I can't even watch Shell's press conferences anymore...

Thx as usual 40...

Shell, currently in over his head in today's NFL

That quote pretty much sums it up. The man is a buffoon, he must be replaced next season or expect the same results....dead last again.

Norv has always been a great coordinator. He just sucks as a head coach.

That's correct.
Noone ever said "he wasn't a good O-Coordinator".
It's when he takes over as HeadCoach that he loses track!
He's always been a successful coordinator wherever he's gone, but that it!

Art Shell however, lacks common sense and the cajones to make the neccessary moves when players aren't performing!

Whitted has been a "non-factor his entire career!"
Why must we sit through an "entire season of him as a starter" before Shell tries someone else out in that spot to see if they can make an impact?

Turner is still garbage as an OC. All he has done this season is just hide the obvious problems that the Niners have in passing the rock. Statiscally speaking, the Niners offense is not that much better than it was last year. Only difference is the have a pretty good running game thanks to the play of Gore and Larry Allen at LG. Then again, Allen has made average backs look great.

You don't want a guy who hasn't created balance on offense since his days in Dallas. He is just another OC that has proven credential. I don't even think he is a top 10 Coordinator anymore.

I have Fish fans who have rip Turner to shreds for his conservative playcalling on offense, for his inability to utilize the weapons MIAMI had. If he didn't know so many NFL GUYS, TURNER would have a hard time getting an OC job.

The brillant Coordinators in this league are the likes of Cam Cameron from SD, Norm Chow from Tenn. and Bob Bratkowski of Cincy. Turner's system is sucessful because he has a LEGIT RB and a beefy line.

Moss, Porter, Curry, Gabriel, Morant
Name a quintet as potent.

Moss, Porter, Curry, Gabriel
Name a quarter as potent.

Moss, Porter, Curry
Name a trio as potent

Moss, Porter
Only a few are as potent. Cincinnati & Arizona have that kind.

Moss
Name a receiver as potent on his game.

I'll go even one step further:

Brown, Jett, Ismael, Wright
I KILLED in Madden with these 4. Too bad Art Shell couldn't.

What I am getting at is that Art Shell is a bafoon. If players want to be traded, and YOU KNOW they WON'T get traded until AFTER the season, you let them play out. You don't cut off your nose to spite your face. Alvis Whitted? Geez!

One has to go: the weapons or the knucklehead holding the trigger.

maybe you dont remember but Norv was our coach the last two years and we didnt see what he is doing in San Fran, maybe just maybe that points to the players we have more than the coaches. just a thought
