John Clayton, of ESPN.com, reports Oakland Raiders QB Aaron Brooks will start at quarterback for the team's Week 11 game

The Contra Costa Times reports Oakland Raiders OT Robert Gallery has allowed a league-high 9.5 sacks this season, according to STATS, Inc.

The way im looking at it is its a different look he has more mobility and is a vet so why not give him a shot it cant get any worse!

dont like it...but i'll roll with it....i know some of you may say,"what has walter done or proven to keep this job?", but honestly its hard to judge a young QB who has absolutely,with out a doubt, the worst offensive line in the league, no running game, a joke for an offensive coordinator, and so-called star wide recievers dropping balls because they " aren't happy", but if brooks is the guy than i hope he does well

Walter has to be given the reps.. for better or for worse.

I know it is debateable, but the Raiders need to know what they have in this kid and they need to get him experience for the future.

Going to Brooks has NO purpose other than to provide a change for changes sake.Brooks is not the answer, but it must be determined if Walter might be.

Brooks played one game how can you determine if he is not the answer? Walter has started 7 games and basically played questionable for the most part and seems to be degressing opposed to progressing. Change is not always a bad thing.

This is what I dont get either. Brooks had no chance vs SD given the line and the problems we had in that game. VS Balt he had 2 botched snaps (which also plauged AW) so he really only played in 1 game. This guy is a former pro bowler so he should at least to get a decent shake before we start the hate train.

Its important to consider that the change in QB may be more to do with supporting Walsh than condemning Walter...unfortunately.

Shell might be implying that its not the system (Walsh) but the problem is the young QB. Switching to Brooks is a cop-out and, hopefully, Brooks won't get killed in that pathetic system.

This may be a bit of the "blame game" but what happens when Brooks fares no better... fire Ryan? LOL!!

I based my comments on his career stats and performance in NO.

Nobody but the Raiders wanted this guy to start. He's an athletic QB, but not a guy who is going to carry a team. A good back-up but not a starter.

Obviously Walter had a rough time, but that is exactly my point, he needs the reps. What good is starting Brooks other than to maybe win an extra game or two this year at the expense of the future? Its not worth it in my opinion.. but i know its a touchy subject with no real right answer.
