It's as about rock bottom as Moss can get.

He's the highest paid Raider.

He's the offensive team captain.

He couldn't keep this to himself? I know, dum question.

Someone posted it before, it doesn't look like what Randy is doing is much different than what Porter done so, ... .

No we don't. Honestly, I have to disagree. I could tell you my job sucks(actually, it doesn't but for arguments sake...)
Quote:
"I would invite somebody to come in and put the 18 jersey on, see what we go through on a weekly basis and then expect to go out there and perform at our highest level," Moss said Friday. "I guess that's what people see on game day, but they don't see what's behind closed doors through the week."
The more I hear from not just Moss, but now LJ and Walter....this statement is getting some friction. While it's easy to make Moss a scapegoat for the teams failures I can understand from a fans standpoint what Moss is saying. There have been times I have seen Moss desperatly trying to make things happen. But it also has to start from the top, and lets face it.........the "top" is in total disaray.
And did is pass anyone when on 3rd down and goal we pulled Moss last week? Yep, our genius pulled on the best recievers in the game on 3rd and goal. Has a defensive unit, that would allow me to go one on one and put more pressue on the quarterback. It changes the entire game.

The horrible decision making by this coaching staff is as much to blame has Moss. Lets be honest here, it's not all his fault. And if we had to walk a day in his shoes, most of us would be backpedeling on some of our comments fast as we could,.

^ I say again: he's the highest paid Raider and Team Captain.

At what other job would that be exceptable?

Otherwise, I understand what you're saying. More and more it seems that the team is breaking down I was a huge Moss supporter But, he doesn't want to be here so, ...

out of curiosity what makes him the team captain?

just because of the money he makes? because he is (was) a player you could build around?

he has never been the type of player that would gather the players and rally them

I'm not sure if it's a self-proclamation by Randy, or if the team and/or organization annointed him as such. But, I've heard at least Art reference him as the "offensive Team Captain" (and Sapp as the Ds'), and others too. Anyone?

If he isn't the captain, who is?

He is the team captain and I've heard that reference to him from others. It shows just how far off we are in the offense by having him at the helm.

If you really want control of the team, get Madden 09 and build the franchise cuz that's as close as you'll get.

I for one would like to see Randy leave the team. He is a negitive influence to the Raiders.

I have never seen a Raider play which such LACK OF HEART.

.. tag him and bag him, that's what I say.

That's Vintage Raider football, We make mistakes but we make bigger plays to overcome them. Art Shell will get us back to those days.

Truthfully and I hate saying this......but I don't think I could've hated a player more than KFC or Andre Rison who both I hated with a passion! But Candy Moss has or will soon take over that title very soon. If the players and coaches let him think he's a captain of this team.....then this organization is below rock bottom

Most of us didn't want this piece of sh*t to begin with and accepted him because he was a Raider but on limited terms. I'm sick of him, he has yet to do anything for this team but be an individual. Guys like Curry and Whitted deserve to play because they care about the team and heart goes a long way in football.
Curry and Porter were one of our strongest WR combos even compard to Rice and Brown. I say bench Moss and start Porter and Curry. Porter has remained quiet while Moss thinks he's above the team. So peace out Moss, cant say we'll miss you're positve attitude and productive play. This was an experiment gone bad. I just really hope Shell can save this offense from complete turmoil. We lost Gabriel for a 5th round draft pick and now have Porter and Moss wanting out. Art needs some accountability also but somehow I'd love to have Porter back as our #1 WR .
