This would be my guess as to the final roster. I think we will see a couple of vets cut this year as usual. Who is missing from this list?

Offense:

QB(3): Brooks, Walter, Tuiasosopo
RB(5): Jordan, Crockett, Fargas, Foschi, Smart
TE(3): Anderson, Williams, Madsen
OL(8): Gallery, Sims, Grove, McQuistan, Walker, Hulsey, Treu, Slaughter, Morris, Boothe
WR(6): Moss, Porter, Curry, Gabriel, Morant, Whitted

Defense:

DL(8):Brayton, Sapp, Kelly, Burgess, Sands, Johnstone, Huntley, Moore
LB(8): Williams, Morrison, Howard, Bing, Clark, Riddle, Ekejiuba, Irons
DB(9): Asomugha, Washington, Carr, Huff, Schweigert, Cooper, Routt, Gibson, Poole

Special Teams

Lechler and Jano(2)
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hawthorne(DT), Buchanon(WR), Smith(QB) and Wusu(LB) on the practice squad.

IMO Hamilton, R. Thomas, Starks, Santiago, Rivers, Badger and Francis have all lost thier jobs to younger, cheaper and better players. What do you guys think?

He Hate Lee ?

I find it interesting that you would keep Rod "He Hate Me"Smart over Reshard Lee. Why Apuffasmoke21? Smart shows me nothing so far except "He Hate Lee".

First off I said this was my guess as to the roster not my choice. Also Smart is a very good special teamer that could return punts and kickoffs if Carr is injured or ineffective and is good in coverage also. With Crockett, Foschi and Jordan among the other backs we need his quickness and pass catching ability...... especially if Fargas goes down. Lee is good but not as versatile.

I agree with that. Lee has shown way more this preseason. I'd keep Lee.

Otherwise, I totally agree with the thesis of this article - hard choices to make. Especially on the D. From what Gibson has shown me in these 4 preseason games, I'd say we're finally receiving dividends on the investment. I'd keep Gibson. What to do with Hamilton and Anttaj? Is there any possible way to keep these guys? On offense, Chad Slaughter has nearly out-played Gallery IMO, I'd keep him. And what about Madsen? He seems to be open a lot.

Like coach says, "I've never liked this part of the job."

Hawthorne(DT), and Buchanon(WR) will not make it to the PS.

Another team will claim them.

Looks pretty good. I could not imagine the strain of having to essentially say farewell to almost half of the people in camp. I agree with another post in that a few of the guys cut, will find employment before they get on the P squad. Happy to see my boy Ekejiuba on the roster!
