I guess thats why the 'Baby' as Sapp referred to him, couldn't muster the courage to show up for practice after Al's conference. We're better off with the 4 million and without the cupcake.

On a 2nd note, its good to see the Porter apologists have dissapppeared. His act has just gotten too pathetic at this point to stomach any more of those guys.

Steve Corkran, of the Contra Costa Times, reports Oakland Raiders managing general partner Al Davis said WR Jerry Porter has "lost his way" and is free to leave the team. He has four years remaining on a five-year deal, but Davis said that is not a problem as long as Porter pays back the $4 million signing bonus the team gave him for this season and his agent, Joel Segal, is able to find a trading partner willing to part with suitable compensation. The team said no other teams have contacted them about Porter.

That's what I'm talkin' about, premadonna players don't get the vote
of confidence over an ex-player, HOF inductee and trusted friend and that's
the way it should be.

The fact that Al said that JP had his walking papers "prior to the Draft" tells me
he knew all he needed to know about JP right after he and Art had that initial
blow out!

He should be relegated to 8th string, practtice squad just to prove a point.
