As widely reported, the Raiders lost the coin toss and will be picking 7th. Duly noted.

Remove "unconfirmed" from Gibson as UFA. It's all over.

Still no idea what happened to the two guys who came up AWOL on NFLE rosters (Carter and Lekkerkerker) and no confirmation on the assistant coaches.

Remove OT Brad Lekkerkerker and C Vince Carter from the NFL Europe list; it appears they won't be playing over there after all. However, both remain on the roster near as I can tell (unlike RB Clarence Farmer, who got cut) - shift them from NFLE/exempt to standard roster members. Lekkerkerker may be an exclusive-rights free agent, so he may not actually count, but I have no confirmation.

Not sure what happened with those guys - teams do occasionally recall a player and not send him after he's assigned. Guess that was the case here. That's what I'm going with for now.

Delete (at least for now) NT Ted Washington, RG Ron Stone and backup CB Denard Walker, all released in cap moves, as per Raiders.com and widely reported.

There is at least one report (Oakland Trib) of two new coaching hires, but as I have not yet seen even a second report, much less Raiders.com confirmation, I am not yet putting them in.

They would be: Jim McElwain, QB coach; and Lorenzo Ward, asst. DB and ST coach.

I've seen McElwain's hiring reported elsewhere, quoting Michigan State people (where he coached last), so I've put him in as "reportedly hired."

Still no word on Ward.

Oh, and for the curious, it looks like all three K/Ps the Raiders sent to NFL Europe have earned spots with their respective teams. Opening-day rosters in Europe will be determined this weekend.

The coaching staff has been finalized, as per Raiders.com, although there is some question about Keith Millard's role, and I couldn't find out information about every coach. Hopefully, there will be more information Monday.

Also, delete FA-to-be Calvin Branch, who was placed on reserve/retired according to PFW. Guess he's going back to the front office.

NFL Europe update: In the final cutdown, LB Pasha Jackson was cut and DB Hiram Eugene was placed on IR. Jackson is likely to be cut by the Raiders. I'm not sure what being placed on IR means for Eugene's chances of playing Europe (vs. the NFL, where IR means you're out for the season).

The remaining 11 players appear to have made the final 48-man roster.

I've seen word Collins was cut, I'm waiting for confirmation, since I've only seen one report (the AP's) in the various places.

Some coaching updates, via Raiders.com:

Keith Millard was changed to defensive line coach, so that's confirmed.
And Willie Brown is now listed as "defensive backs, squad development," so apparently he'll have some formal role with the DBs, along with Chuck Pagano and Lorenzo Ward.

Delete C Vince Carter, who never did make it to Europe, and was cut by the Raiders.

No word on Pasha Jackson, who got cut over in NFLE.

Oh, and here's a weird thing: Ron Stone remains under contract to the Raiders, even though the team said it cut him for cap purposes and it was widely reported in the media. He never made the PFW transactions, remains on the Ourlads roster, and is still listed on both NFL.com and NFLPA.org. I put him back on the roster with the note "reportedly released."
